Yes - just got mine today. Orange have much better coverage and I was due an upgrade. Although you can't get the 3GS on the £30 per month deal.

Despite the shortcomings, I do actually find myself tempted with the 3GS. And I'm in my upgrade period with Orange...

However, can I really do without a camera flash? I'm not the greatest moblogger the world has ever seen, but I do like to be able to a decent picture. And then there's the multi-tasking issue...

I've just had some hands-on time with an N97 mini and it's just so much more tempting than the N97 that it's quite surprising. It really is usable one handed.

I was once ferried across Florida in a stretch Hummer (to a board meeting, if you can believe that.)

4x4? It could barely do a straight freeway without unbearable resonance for all involved.

These things are designed to be parked out the front of hotel lobbies, and little else.

Same happend to two guys I was travelling in Paris last week - both of their HSBC cards failed when they tried to use for 2nd time that day. I guess HSBC is just 'The worlds's local bank'

I'm with CITI and they sniff for irregular patterns and have so far been quite good at watching my account.

My wife ran into the same issue with out bank a couple of years back at christmas trying to order books from amazon.co.uk on her Canadian card; and because amazon process card transactions at an odd time of day (from a Canadian bank's perspective) they kept blocking the transaction. Then again, we didn't have any issues using cards from that bank actually in the UK having told them we were going on vacation :)

I'm still surprised I've not had any problem with my Barclaycard (very rarely is it used in the UK, despite still having a UK billing address) yet the odd transaction I put through on it here goes through every time.

I have the same problem. As soon as I get on a plane..."Mr Ilett, it's the card fraud department from HSBC. We've stopped your credit card for you."

I've been with HSBC for 13 years or more, but it's worth having other cards available as they are utterly shit if you want to travel

I can't believe that there is a airline company offering this nice price of airline fee. This is really good for travelers like me. I can save more money now not only for my hotel expenses but for having a low ticket airline fee. If you want to save also in your money for staying in a good hotel I can recommend you LMT. They can find you good hotel with a good price.

I got to the same situation with another bank to the point I actually opened a US account to avoid the situation. You might consider an Amex, their customer service is pretty cool and they are used to folks who spend big bucks abroad.

You are missing he point of trick or treat sweetie buying. It is the one time a year adults can by obscene amounts of sweets on the principle that 'it's not for me'. Then, when you get a dearth of children knocking on the door, you can snaffle them all yourself.

I therefore purchased big bags of Swizzel/Matlow sweets; Refreshers, Double Lollies, Drumsticks etc. which I will diligently be eating over the next week or two. None of that chocolate rubbish for me.
